RESULTS THROW LITTLE LIGHT ON COMING EVENTS Press Association. WAIMATE, Thursday. The Waimate Hunt Steeplechase meeting was held to-day in.fine weather. There was a good attendance and the course was in excellent order. The totalisator handled £6,409 10s, against £6,601 last year. Results are: STUDHOLME HURDLES HANDICAP, 1 mile 5 furlongs. 1— GOLDTOWN, 9.2, T. Humphries 1 2 DUBIOUS, 11.4 2 4 BEAUTY LIGHT, 9.2 2 Also started: 3 Coastguard, 11.7: 5 Captain Sarto, 10.4; 6 The Harp, 9.9. Won by a length, with Beauty Light half a length away, third. Time, 3.3 3-5. BLUECLIFFS HUNTERS’ STEEPLECHASE, About 2J miles. 5 HYPERION, 9.6, S. Tilson 1 3 MATAIPUKE, 9.9 2 1— THE BABE, 9.9 3 Also started: 2 Greenstone, 11.11; 7 Muzzle, 9.12: 6 Goodform, 9.10; 9 Krasnoi, 9.5; 10 Tempter, 9.5; S Auburn, 9.5; 4 Monko, 9.5. With only a few furlongs covered Krasnoi and Tempter had fallen and Monko, Greenstone and Auburn ran off, leaving only five in the race.
