KAIPARA DAIRY COY.

INCREASED OUTPUT TOTAL PAYOUT OF OVER 1/4 Another record season, showing an increase of 26.7 per cent, over the output of the previous season, is recorded in the annual report of* the Kaipara Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, Ltd., to be presented to the annual meeting of the company, scheduled for July 28. On approximately two-thirds of the season’s output already sold, with a progress payment of twopence a lb, to be paid on July 20, the total payments for the year will be brought up to a level of Is 3d. The balance of the season’s butter, 411 tons, has been valued at 165 s a cwt. This value is based solely on present prospects, however, and should the London market fall then the final payment will suffer. The directors anticipate that the total return for the year will be between Is 4d and Is 5d a lb of butterfat.

Group testing under the control of the factory was carried out with considerable success, the special prize of a pedigree Jersey bull from the Vernon Farm herd for the supplier showing the greatest increase in production over the preceding year going to Brockliss and Leslie, of Waimauku. The directors recommend a dividend at the rate of 7 per cent, on each complete £1 of share capital paid up at October 31, 1927.
