AN ORCHESTRA GAME

One of the players is chosen as conductor, and each of the others chooses an instrument which they must pretend to play. Thus, one may choose a violin, another a saxophone, another a piano or a flute. The conductor starts the orchestra, beating time with his hands, the others playing the chosen instrument. Then the conductor will suddenly cease to beat time, and, instead, will pretend to play one of the instruments being imitated by a player. Immediately the one who was pretending to play the instrument chosen by the conductor must start to beat time. If he fails to do this he has to change places with the conductor; if not, the conductor has to resume beating time.

This is a very good game to play when the party is made up of boys and girls of different ages, because quite tiny tots can join in the fun with their elders.
