AT THEIR MAJESTIES’ COURTS

NEW ZEALANDERS PRESENTED Among the New Zealanders presented at the recent courts were the following: FIRST COURT Airs. Vivian Riddiford. dress of flesh pink georgette, embroidered in diamante. Train of deeper pink panne velvet. Miss Riddiford, picture gown of white tulle, the skirt entirely composed of petals flecked with diamante. Train of silver lame draped with white tulle embroidered tp- correspond with gown. Mrs. Scholefield. Miss Teesdale-Smith, presented by Lady Moulden. Dress of parchmentcolour taffeta, with frilled skirt. Train of gold and parchment chiffon brocade. THE SECOND COURT Lady Parr, wife of the High Commissioner for New Zealand, who was presented a*t the second court, on May 25, wore a handsome black chiffon velvet and white georgette gown, beautifully embroidered with diamante, with a train of very fine black and white lace, embroidered with gold thread and backed with black chiffon velvet, and edged with black net. Her fan was of uncurled white ostrich plumes, mounted on tortoiseshell.

Mrs. W. S. Bean, 0.8. E., wife of Canon Bean, of Addington, Christchurch, New Zealand, and eldest daughter of the late Right Hon. R. J. Seddon, formerly Prime Minister of New Zealand. Gown of heavy crepe georgette handsomely embroidered in jet, with an oxydised silver spray applique on the left shoulder. Train of silver tissue with long strands of jet falling from the right shoulder; white ostrich feather fan.

Miss Bean, gown of pink georgette trimmed with sequin and crystal beads, forming a butterfly wing design back and front. Train of pink georgette veiled with silk net and wide silver lace.

Miss O. Lyon, Timaru. Gown of ivory crepe georgette, embroidered with silver and cyrstal beads, with skirt of deep silver fringe. Train of silver tissue, lined with flame georgette and trimmed with silver fringe. Flamecolour feather fan.

Miss Dorothy Macdonald, Timaru. Gown of shell-pink crepe satin, studded with diamante in a sunray design, and finished with a diamante embroidered girdle and ornament. Train of silver tissue, lined with ruched shell-pink chiffon. Shell-pink feather fan.

Miss Mary Temple Macdonald, Timaru. Gown of ivory chiffon over silver lame, trimmed with silver pailettes and beads, and edged with Kolinsky fur. Train of silver tissue, lined with pale jade tucked chiffon. Jade feather fan.

Mrs. Peyton Jones, presented by Mrs. Amery. Gown of lace d’argent over pearl grey. Train of lace d’argent with band of oxydised tissue. Flame-col-oured ostrich feather fan.

Miss Peyton Jones, presented by her mother, Mrs. Peyton Jones. Gown of palest vieux rose chiffon, trimmed with silk and pearl embroidery. Train of chiffon, with applique silver flowers and pearl ornaments. Miss Gwendolyn Peyton Jones, presented by her mother, Mrs. Peyton Jones. Charming gown of white satin, the bodice and girdle embroidered in silver and crystal, skirt with satin fringe. Train of silver and crystal, with border of silver tissue. Shaded rose-pink ostrich leather fan.
