HIS MAJESTY’S
“LADY, BE GOOD” Crowded audiences are attracted to His Majesty’s at each performance to witness the sparkling progress of “Lady, Be Good.” Better ballet work has not been seen in Auckland in any production of its class, incidents chase each other pell-mell, and there is not a dull moment from curtainrise. As Judy, Miss Elsie. Prince shines, a bright particular star. It is a role demanding infinite versatility, yet Miss Prince fills it to overflowing with a natural gaiety that seems with.out effort. When members of the audience are not laughing at her, they are roaring at the whimsicalities of Jimmy Godden as Watty Watkins, the very enterprising family lawyer whose activities are by no means confined to the lawful. Other comedy parts are well handled also —particularly that of that long slab of inanity, “Bertie,” portrayed by Charlton Morton. Dull care takes wing and flies afar when “Lady, Be Good” is afoot, la, la!
