A reflex of the ruling passion was the passage from an early hour of cars going to Masterton for the Ranfurly Shield match. A great number of travellers are sporting the colours of the Hawke’s Bay team. Some halted here to buy ribbons, and also to obtain petrol or refreshment. All roads to-day lead to Masterton.
