MATRIMONY DEFERRED

BACHELOR’S INQUIRY DOOMED TO DISAPPOINTMENT (Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Many requests have been made at the citizens’ employment relief depot, but hitherto there has not been the same demand as at the matrimonial bureau. This morning Mrs. A. E. Herbert, who is in charge of the depot, received a letter from a bachelor seeking the name and address of a young woman to whom assistance had been given recently. He had read in the “Sun” of a case in which a woman living in impoverished circumstances was desiring to launch upon the sea of matrimony, and he was willing to take her for better or for worse. He was doomed to disappointment, however, as the woman in question was married with five children.
