NOT LOCARNO!

STRESEMANN’S THRUST OCCUPATION ARMIES By Cable. —Press Associalioti.—Copyright OSLO, Thursday. The German Foreign Minister, Herr Stresemann, flung out a challenge to the other Locarno Powers in his Nobel peace prize speech delivered in the presence of King Haakon of Norway, and the Prime Minister, M. I*. Lykke. Herr Stresemann said the practical peace policy pursued by Germany was not the work of a single man, but the expression of the spirit which existed throughout the nation. Not only the present generation, but future generations, might reckon with Germany as she was at present. It was not in accordance with the Locarno spirit that foreign armies should stay for years in a country which had definitely abandoned all hopes of revenge.—A. and N.Z.
