PRECAUTIONS WANTED QUESTION TO MINISTER (THE SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The importation of Tasmanian potatoes is giving the Minister of Agriculture much food for thought, and he has promised to inform the House today the attitude of the Government on the whole question. This promise was made in reply to a question by Mr. T. D. Burnett (Temuka), who asked what steps were proposed to safeguard the potato growers of New Zealand in the face of the threatened invasion of potato pests from the other side—either by regulation or embargo.
