MOTORIST KILLED ATTEMPT TO BEAT TRAIN By Cable. — Press Association. — Copyright VANCOUVER, Tuesday. A message from Council Grove, Kansas, states that Samuel Klein was killed and his father, Morris Klein, seriously injured in a motor-car accident this evening. The two men were attempting to reduce by seven hours the time of 63 hours which it takes the railway train to cover the 2,400 miles between Chicago and Los Angeles. Their motor-car crashed into a concrete culvert to the east of Council Grove. —A. and N.Z.
