PAPATOETOE CLERK’S SALARY
The Papatoetoe Town Board had a heated discussion on Tuesday on a proposal that the town clerk be employed full-time. A special committee recommended that the clerk’s salary be _-US per annum, and a clerk be er P~ ployed to assist him at £ 2 -s a week, and he be asked to continue in office till June 30, 1928, when applications for a new officer to commence duties on July 1 be invited. _ , Varied opinions were expressed and the motion finally carried, Mr. Franklin dissentin^r.
