JAZZ LUXURY

DANCING ON RUBBER MANCHESTER UNITY HAILL INTRODUCING in Auckland for the first time, a dancing floor mounted on rubber blocks, the new Manchester Unity building, in Hobson Street, should interest dancers. The practice has been followed in one instance in Wellington, but never before in Auckland. Pleasant resilience is a feature claimed for floors so constructed. In this case the timber employed will be Canadian maple. Now reaching an advanced stage, the Manchester building will be a massive pile. Ultimately the building will rise nine floors, and from its elevated site will dominate the city skyline. For the present only five floors are to be constructed.. The floor area will, however, be very extensive.
