TE AWAMUTU FIGURES (From Our Oxen Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, To-day. The April production figures of cows tested by the New Zealand Co-operative Herd Testing Association are now available and show some interesting facts; 52,180 cows were tested in April and . the average production for the month was 471 b. of milk, with a 4.6 test and 22.621 b. butter-fat. In the Te Awamutu district and neighbourhood there are eight groups operating, and following are the April returns:— Hairini Group. —l,2l3 cows, average milk 4261 b., test 4.7, butter-fat 21.861 b. Highest herd average, 29.901 b. fat from 12 cows; lowest hard, 10.681 b. from 33 cows; highest cow, 36.591 b. fat; lowest cow, 2.041 b. Kihi-kibi Group. —l,4ol cows; average milk 4731 b., test 4.9, butter-fat 23.731 b. Highest herd average, 30.621 b. fat from 25 cows; lowest herd, 12.361 b. from 34 cows; highest cow, 54.721 b.; lowest, 2.101 b. Ohaupo Group. —B93 cows; average milk 4781 b., test 5.0, butter-fat 24.01 b. Highest herd average, 35.431 b. fat from 28 cows; lowest herd, 14.421 b. from 27 cows; highest cow, 61.301 b.; lowest, 3.101 b.

Otorohanga Gr0up. —1,257 cows; average milk 4541 b., test 5.1, butter-fat 23.50 lb. Highest herd average, 31.871 b. from 17 cows; lowest, 14.401 b. from 33 cows; highest cow, 62.301 b.; lowest 2.471 b.
