JEROME K. JEROME A VARIED CAREER Bp Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Tuesday. death is announced of Jerome K. Jerome, t%e novelist and playwright. Jerome Klapka Jerome was born in 1859. Educated at Marylebone Grammar School, he has been clerk, actor, schoolmaster, journalist and author. His bestknown book is the famous “Three Men In a Boat,” and his best play, the poignant “Passing of the Third Floor Back.” Last year he published a delightful autobiography, “My Life and Times.” Early this year he was made Freeman of the \ lllage of Walsall, his birthplace.
