DARGAVILLE MISSES GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY
FAILS TO OBTAIN DEFINITE PLEDGE TO COMPLETE RAILWAY
(From Our Oicn Correspondent .) DARGAVILLE, To-day,
Dargaville is particularly interested in the Kirikopuui-Dargaville railway, and there has lately been an agitation to have unemployed put on to complete the section. Strangely enough those who had intended to extract from the Prime Minister, in the course of his meeting a definite pronouncement on the subject, overlooked it entirely. The only mention it got was when Mr. V. Trounson. chairman of the Hobson County Council, said they were gratified when the Government had said it would complete the line. A derisive voice then yelled, “Perhaps.”
