CLUB SHOWS GOOD PROFIT HEAVY TAXATION (From Our Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, To-day. With a totalisator turnover < . £17,466 10s and gate receipts amounting to £254, the Cambridge Trotting Club’s annual meeting held last Saturday resulted in a profit of £7OO. Government taxation amounted to £1,314 15s 6d, made up as follows: Tote tax, £436 13s 3d: dividend tax, £786 3s; stakes tax, £6O; other taxes, £3l 19s 3d.
