GIRLS’ HOCKEY
TO-MORROW’S PROGRAMME GAMES AT REMUERA Clean hockey, in which little play of outstanding merit will be exhibited, can be expected from the girls’ senior contests. Only the second day on the field this season, they have not yet settled down into serious hockey and how the scores will read is hard to forecast. Even on last Saturday's showing it is evident that the association possesses some very promising players who. in the right hands, would require little coaching to bring them up to representative standard. Training College A. on paper, look like registering a win against Arawa, and the same can be said regarding St. Cuthbert's in their contest with Y.W.C.A.. though the latter are not likely to be overcome without a hard battle. Training College B will in all probability lose to Somerville, though the issue in both this and the Varsity-Mount Eden match is difficult to forecast.
