SIPSY SLAYER ARRESTED
‘FATTY’ CAUGHT AT LAST EIGHT YEARS’ SEARCH ENDS By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright BERLIN, Thursday. After a search, that has lasted for eight years, members of the East Prussia police attacked and wounded and arrested a gipsy, who is nicknamed “Fatty” owing to his girth. It is alleged that he was responsible for 12 murders. He used to carry two loaded revolvers in his belt.
On one occasion he shot a gipsy for refusing him permission to marry his daughter, with whom he eloped. The gipsy had several encounters with the police, but always escaped although his mother, who was once accompanying him, was shot dead.— A. and N.Z.
