Man's Theft From Soldiers’ Club
A YEAR’S GAOL Press Association. BLENHEIM, To-day. David James Williams, alias George Edward Pengelly (25), with a list of 2-2 previous convictions, pleaded guilty to charges of theft of a cashbox containing £l4 cash and a fountain pen (total value, £ls 10s), the property of the Returned Soldiers ’Club at Blenheim; also the theft of an overcoat (value £4 18s 6d) from Girlings, Ltd., and wrongful conversion of a cycle. He was sentenced to 12 months’ gaol on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent.
