Wilson (13) defeated Miss Kent (35), 3 and 2; Miss Hamlin (8) defeated Mrs. Hughes (11), 3 and 2, Miss Lever (IS) and Miss Roberton (19), all square; Mrs. Ferguson (13) defeated Mrs. Hanna (26), 3 and 1; Miss Orr (21) defeated Miss Hanna (26), 5 and 3; Mrs. Trice (18) and Mrs. Brown (33), all square; Mrs. Abbott (15) defeated Miss L. Cutfield (13), 3 and 2; Miss K. Clark (21) and Mrs Povine (17), all square; Mrs. Goi'rie (26) defeated Mrs. Morris (17), 2 and 1; Mrs. Wright won from Mrs. Richmond by default; Miss Wilson (13) defeated Miss Upton (6), 5 and 4; Mrs. Rainger (21) defeated Miss McGovern (12). 1 up; Mrs. Pugh (22) defeated Miss E. Culling (3), 2 and 1. Ties in this round must be played off as soon as possible, in order that the third round may be completed by May 24. The first round of the match play foursomes for prizes presented by the captain, Miss J. M. Reid, will be played next Tuesday, entries closing at the clubhouse on Friday.
