FORD AND CART COLLIDE

A Ford delivery can, owned by Mr. Reginald Swift, of Arcadia Road. Epsom, collided with a spring cart owned by A. B. Wright Ltd. at the intersection of Queen and Wellesley Streets shortly after three o’clock yesterday afternoon. The driver had a narrow escape.

When Mr. Swift was about to cross the road he swerved to avoid a tram, with the result that he crashed into the horse and cart. The horse was knocked down, and received a badlycut mouth, and the shafts of the cart were broken. The van was severely damaged.
