IZAAK WALTON’S COTTAGE
DESTROYED BY FIRE By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Monday. A chance spark from a railway engine fell on the thatched roof of Izaak Walton’s fatuous half-timbered cottage at Shallowford, near Stafford, and caused a fire which destroyed the building. The chief relics were , removed to safety.—A. and N.Z.
