BETTER WEATHER
There has been a decided improvement in the weather since yesterday. Heavy showers fell in the morning, but later the wind moderated and the afternoon and evening were fine. There was a decided drop in the temperature last night and the barometer, which had been falling during the morning, rose rapidly after midday. This morning, although there was a decided chill in the air, the sun rose in a cloudless sky with every prospect of a fine weekend.
