Holiday Interpretation Given. —“lf a worker works from 12 midnight until 8 a.m. on the morning on which a holiday occurs, is he entitled to double time?” The question was referred to the Arbitration Court to-day by the Auckland Glassworkers’ Union. His Honour Mr. Justice Frazer said that he must agree with the ruling of the Australian judge that a holiday extended from midnight to midnight. In the present case the workers of one shift had missed their Christmas Day holiday.
