Mrs. Maguire, C.8.E., will speak at the Grafton Library next month, on her three years’ experiences abroad. The lecture is one of a series arranged by the city librarian (Mr. John Barr). Mr. and Mr§. Murray Fuller, of Wellington, who are well known in social cirlces in A uckland, leave for London early in June. “NO, NO, NANETTE!” BALL A GAY EVENING A delightful ball, perhaps the most successful ever held in the popular Regent Ballroom took place last evening under the supervision of Mr. Maurice Cuttridge, the musical director of the Regent Theatre. The ball, which was given in honour of the members of the “No, No, Nanette!” company was attended by over 100 people, including Miss Elsie Prince. Miss Gladys Hermes, Mr. Jimmy Godden, Mr. Charlton Morton and many other members of the company. usually presented at the Regent, while the special programme of dance music proved mightily alluring.
