Juvenile to Speechless. °f the nine runners in the Juvenile Handicap, Speechless was a £lB2 bet. ter favourite than Standfast. High Tide also being heavily supported. At the start, Adoree swung round and dislodged her rider, while Kerry Dance refused to leave the barrier. Speechless was first away, followed by Standfast, Whakarite and High Tide. After traversing two furlongs, Carlaris assumed command, and showed the way to Whakarite, Standfast, Speechless, Auriculus, High Tide. Once in line for home. Speechless was brought along with a well-judged run to win by threequarters of a length, Standfast close up third.
