YOUNG MAN FROM U.SA. “GO AND GET WORK” “What do you propose to do if I give you a chance?” asked Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., when the young American, Guy Carney, aged 24, appeared for sentence in the Police Court this morning. “Go to work,” said Carney, promptly. Carney and an Australian named Jack Watson were found asleep in tlie launch Lancia, alongside the Nelson Street Wharf, one nig T ; about a week ago, and Watson who was described as a “professional stowaway” was sentenced to a month. “Very well,” said the magistrate; “convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called on within the next six months. Now you go away and get some work at once!”
