FAREWELL TO MINISTER A farewell social was given in the Ellerslie Presbyterian Church last evening to the Rev. G. W. and Mrs. Blair, who are leaving for Waipu. The Rev. J. Pattison presided over a large gathering of members and young people. On behalf of the congregation the session clerk. Mr. R. Falconer, presented Mr. Blair with a suitcase as a token of esteem and Mrs. Blair received a purse bag from the ladies of the congregation. Musical items were given by Mrs. Joy; Miss F. Bayly and Messrs. Dale. Ferguson and McKelvie and recitations by Messrs. Tizard and Mather. Supper and the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” concluded the evening.
