WESTERN ELECTORS’ CHOICE A largely-attended meeting of the City West Ratepayers’ Association was held at Leys Institute last evening, when the following ticket was unanimously selected in connection with the forthcoming local body elections: Mayoralty. —Mr. G. Kidd.

Building Permits at Avondale. —At the Avondale Borough Council meeting last evening the building inspector reported that during the previous fortnight nine permits had been issued. At present there were IS buildings in course of erection.
