The telegram from Christchurch on Tuesday stating that the Southern city would be (inked up with Wellington bv telephone next week is not correct. The work is not expected to be complete until June, as originally stated by the Postmaster-General. There is still a lot of work to be done between Seddon and ‘-Christchurch.
