ON WITH THE DANCE!

COMING EVENTS Visitors to Auckland will be catered Tor in the way of dancing- through the Easter holidays, for many novel and interesting evenings have been arranged. At the Regent ballroom, over the attractive new Regent Theatre, a gay Grand Gala Night will be held on Saturday, while on Monday the same delightful and magnificently appointed dance room will be the scene of a splendid Easter ball. Dixieland, at Point Chevalier, now gay in its new decorations and appointments, will also have many attractive suggestions to make to the dance-lover, not least of them being the alluring music of its orchestra and its perfect dance floor. King Carnival will hold court at Dixieland on Saturday and Monday evenings. The Musical Box Cabaret, Auckland’s newest dance rendezvous, will continue to tempt patrons nightly with its intriguing cosiness and general air of originality. This delightful snot in which to pass the hours ’tween dinner and bed-time is in Beresford Street, just off Karangahape Road, and within a minute of the top of Queen Street. The Ambassador’s Dance Club has arranged a special cabaret evening to take place in the Click Clack Cabaret, Newmarket, on Tuesday, April 19, when a programme of popular dance tunes will be played by Shorland’s orchestra.
