BOLD BURGLARY

SHOP WINDOW BROKEN POCKET WATCHES STOLEN Press Association HASTINGS, Wednesday. A daring burglary occurred last night when the window of Mr. S. O. Garland’s jewellery shop was broken and pocket watches valued at between £ 70 and £BO were taken. A tray of valuable wristlet watches, valued at £ 300, was untouched. A large tray of gold vatches fortunately had been removed from the window at closing time. The burglar then went to the other end of the town, where lie left £2O worth of watches in a palm stand outside some tea-rooms. They were found by a passer-by in the early morning.
