KEEN ELECTIONS EXPECTED MANY NOMINATIONS (From Our Resident Correspondent.') WELLINGTON, To-day. Keen contests are expected in the municipal elections, the candidates having- pursued a. vigorous campaign throughout the city for several weeks past. Theer are two nominations for the mayoralty, Mr. G. A. Troup, chairman of the health committee of the present council, and Mr. C. H. Chapman. E-Councillor Chapman is contesting the Mayoralty for the third time. Last election he was 1300 votes behind Mr. Norwood in a poll of 26,000. For 15 council seats there are 32 nominations, nine for four harbour board seats and 24 for 14 on the hospital board. Eleven of the present council return to the poll.
