ANGLERS AND POETS DIFFER
TT>OETS have written poems to the Kingfisher, but he does not seem to be popular with anglers. “He looks pretty and innocent and we are apt to spare him,” said Mr. C. A. Whitney at last evening’s meeting of the Acclimatisation Society, “but he is strongly condemned by fishers at Home for the destruction of salmon fry. He is a serious menace to our trout.”
