CITIZENS’ TICKET MR. WARNOCK FOR MAYOR “SOME NEW BLOOD” The ticket, which will be supported by the Citizens’ Progressive Klectlou Committee, was announced this morning. , “Some new blood” is evidently the slogan of the committee this election. Inder H. Turner. ♦Present members. FURTHER NOMINATIONS The present Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, was yesterday nominated for a further term, the nominators being Sir Edwin Mitchelson and Messrs. Oliver Nicholson, G. H. Wilson, &. B Dusk, J. B. Johnston, A. Burns. Further nominations for the City Council are: Miss Ellen Melville, sitting member. F. W. H. Brinsden, sitting member. W. H. Nagle. Percy McElwain, an ex-member of the old' road board. Michael John Coyle, sitting member. Thomas Clinton Pow, nominated by West-end ratepayers. For -the Harbour Board: Harvey Turner and J. B. Johnston. The supplementary roll closed with 7,192 names, making the total on the two rolls 39,167. MR. WARNOCK’S CAMPAIGN Mr. J. A. Warnock will open his mayoral campaign at Remuera Library on Tuesday evening. He will then announce his policy and will deal particularly with city finances. Civic Square, tram service and water supply.
