NO MORE HOLD-UPS

The toll-gate had been in operation about a fortnight, and was in any cast doing little towards relieving the difficulties of the Manurewa Town Board

Last week the A.A.A. telegraphed to tho Prime Minister protesting against the principle of the toll, and the result was that Mr. L. B. Campbell, chairman of the No. 2 Highways District Council, in company with Mr. Wynvard, motorists’ representative, conferred with Mr. A. C. A. Sexton, chairman of the Manurewa Town Board, with the result that the toll was lifted this morning.
