How a beautiful spy who moved in an atmosphere of international intrigue became so enmeshed in its net that it proved her own destruction, has been used by Vicente Blasco Ibanez, worldfamous Spanish author, as the basic theme of his novel, “ Mare Nostrum.” It has been produced in screen form by Rex Ingram, the creative genius who made. “Blood and Sand,” “ Scaramouche,” .and “ The Four Horsemen.” Its dramalic qualities are terrific, and its reproductions of battle scenes at sea surpass anything that might have served as a basis of comparison. Antonio Moreno and Alice Terry, two of the screen’s bigger personalities, are 1 featured in the principal parts.
