STEADY PROGRESS MADE
PREPARING FOR EASTER (From Our Own Correspondent.) GREENHITHE, Wednesday. Hobsonville is going ahead since the A aterfront has been purchased by the State for a flying school. Several new bungalows have been erected, also a public hall for dancing, pictures and local meetings, etc. Electric light has ben installed and motor buses meet all boats. Quite a number of residents have bought motor-cars since the roads have been metalled. Several bungalows have been built on the waterfront and inland also. Numbers of holiday visitors are expected at this favourite resort and housewives are prepared to receive guests. Good accommodation can easily be obtained for Raster on the waterfront and plenty of fruit, milk and eggs are for sale. Social gatherings are held weekly and a first-class tennis court is always available. Pine Island is becoming a favourite picnic ground and several bungalows have been built there, also a tea kiosk and dancing pavilion. The land is cut up in small sections, and avenues and walks laid out with artistic taste. Beautiful native shrubs and flower gardens give the place a picturesque appearance and is easily reached by launch and steamer.
