PROFITEERS ATTACKED GOVERNOR TAKES ACTION By Cable. —Press Association.— Copyright Reed. 9.20 a.m. ROME, Tuesday. A Mussolini act, which surprised meat profiteers at Rome, has been done by the city’s governor, Prince Spadapo, himself a cattle-breeder. He concluded that middlemen were inflating prices, whereupon he created a market to which farmers could deliver carcasses and the public buy joints at 25 per cent, cheaper than formerly. The system also covers chilled ana frozen meat. —Sun.
