BRIGHTER TONE REGISTERED TONSON GARLICK’S AT 15S Compared with late operations, business on the Auckland Stock Exchange registered a considerably brighter tone this morning and several parcels changed hands. Better classes of stocks are showing a tendency to harden, banks and Government bonds especially, being in greater demand, with sellers either withdrawing or strengthening quotations. Mining shares are fluctuating, with no sensational change in quotations. Tonson and Garlick are still causing interest and, with buyers advancing to 15s to-day, a number of sales were registered.
