A PAYING PROPOSITION HEAVY FEES COLLECTED (From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, To-day. The usefulness of the Hutt Road as a source of revenue to the city and neighbouring local bodies is illustrated by the money received in the renewal of licenses and new licenses issued during the financial year just closed l be City Council collected from motor vehicle owners the sum of £13.453. or £1,653 more than hist year. In addition to that the sum of £6,700 has been taken over the counter during the Past week in Hutt Road fees. For the year commencing to-day the amount received in heavv traffic fees for the year ended yesterday was £22.148.
