A BUSY MAN

MR. ZANE GREY RETURNS PREPARING FOR THE SOUTH SEAS That celebrated deep-sea fisherman and author of many books, Mr. Zane Grey, is a man of few words. At least he was this morning. On his good ship Fisherman he returned to Auckland last evening from exploring the waters between Cape Brett and the Great Barrier Island. • I am very busy, very worried, and there has been too much about me in the papers already,” was his reply to a SUN man, who went to the ship. Mr. Grey certainly looked busy as he dashed off to attend to some papers. Captain L. D. Mitchell, who is on the yacht, was also busy. There is so much to attend to before the Fisherman sails on Saturday for Tauranga. On the wav back to Queen Street from the Western Wharf he had time to sav that the party had had about ten weeks of deep-sea fishing and that about 60 lish had been caught. The weather was not good. Mr. Grey and his party will go to Taupe for some trout fishing. In May they will leave for the South Seas, where the prospect of deep-sea fishing there will be thoroughly explored. "No fine has ever fished there, said Captain Mitchell, “and we want-io try it out. In September Mr. Grey and his purty will return to California, but they will come back to New Zealand next year.
