PAPAKURA CLUBS ANNUAL MEETINGS HELD (From Our Own Correspondent.) PAPAKURA. To-day. The annual general meeting of the Papakura Golf Club was held last night. The chair was taken by Mr. E D. McLonnan, M.P., patron of the club, and about 50 members were present. It was the largest and most enthusiastic meeting yet held. The report and balance-sheet were read showing a credit balance of £4B Is sd, and £4 15s to the credit of the ladies’ club. During the season the usual matches were lthough m were not very successful in their matches, the ladies counterbalanced this by winning quite a number of their matches Tli annual ball held in July was a great social and financial success, due in no small measure to the successful arrangements carried out by the ladies. It was resolved to further enlarge the links by three holes. A very hearty vote of thanks was extended to Mr. E. D. McLennan, M.P.. for his generosity and for allowing the club the continued use of the links. The following officers were electedPatron, Mr. E. D. McLennan, M.P.; vice-presidents. Messrs. A. R. McLennan and P. J. Parker: secretary, Mr. Jones; treasurer, Mr. A. Pavitt; captain, M . A. Pavitt; committee, Mesdames Elliott, Johnstone and Miss Harris, Messrs. Johstone. Elliott. Rice and Tilston; audi r. Mr. S. D. Rice Lady Officials. At a meeting held on Thursday afternoon the following officers were eheted:—Mrs. J. E. Elliott, captain: Miss A. McLennan, vice-captain: Miss White, secretary; Mrs. Pavitt, treasurer (re-elected »: committee, Mes .ames H. Walters. F. Johnstone, Wiliamson, Busing, Misses A. McLennan, Harris, Wood.
