NEW MAGAZINES.

HARPER'S BAZAAR IS FASCINATING.

Harper's Bazaar (from R. G. Watson's. Broadway) has, the most attractive cover design that has appeared on a magazine for a Jong time. And the cover is a fair indication of the quality of the work underneath it. English and French fashions are displayed in black and white illustran lions that are more works of art than

advertisements. The contents include an article on foods by Osbert Sitw-C'll —a queer locality for a highbrow and a Bright Old Thing, but not so very' surprising when one remembers that he wrote poetry about hit, landlady and a novel about spinsters. Also from Watson's are Weldon's Ladies' Journal and Weldon's Children's Bazaar, two popular fashion magazines with a fair selection of fiction. The Bazaar has over 50 designs tor children's clothes.
