Mrs Middleton gave a very jolly afternoon to members of Holy Trinity Missionary Guild on Thursday. Music and competitions made the aftenoon pass very pleasantly. The Midhßst AnglicanVLadies’ Guild members gathered on • Wednesday afternoon to honour Mrs. P. Bell, a member who is now living - at Stratford. The Rev. K. J. ‘McFarland spoke highly of Mrs. Bell’s work as a guild member and asked Mrs. Graham to make a presentation of a china fiuit dish. Mrs. Bell returned thanks.

The euchre party and dance held in the Pembroke Road Hall on Tuesday night was well attended. The euchre prize-winners were: Ladies, Mrs Tunbridge and Miss E. Sheehan (tied for first); men, Mr. Smeath 1, Mr Currie 2, Mr Whyte 3. Mr Vern Henry) supplied the music.
