Independent Wins Australian By-election.
Press Association—Oonyright. Sydney, Aug. 30. The polling yesterday for the Assembly by-election at Vaucluse caused by the death of Mr. W. F. Foster resulted in the j independent United Australian Party candidate, Mr. E. M. Robson. scoring an easy victory over the official United Australia Party candidate, Mr. H. C. Foster, son of the former member, by a two »o one majority.
