Although the class of sprinter is strong in the Waihau Handicap, a seasoned runner like Prince Acre is likely to command a lot of attention. Prince Acre came right tack to best form at Pakuranga. Tonnerre and Notium both represent real class, and many run prominently, despite their lack of recent racing. Notium, by the way, is considered to be a likely Taranaki candidate for this season's classic honours.
