The Australian Premiers' conference has ended with the major constitutional issue on marketing powers raised by private council on the decision in the James dried fruits case still undecided because of lack of unanimity among the States. It is believed the Commonwealth Government alone will now have to tackle the question in order to obviate chaos in the marketing of Australian products.
