Wynyard retired as a playing member of the team he was a staunch worker for the club on the general committee and on the entertainment committee, he said. His departure would be a loss to the other sports' bodies' of the town with which he was connected. Mr Massey extended the club's good wishes to Mr Wynyard. Messrs F. J. Nolan (Taranaki Rugby Union), D. J. Malone (vice-president), G. Grace (club captain). J. Young (coach and selector), J. D. A. Mae Kay" (selector) and W. .1. Aitken also spoke of Mr Wynyard's qualities. His association with the club had been enjoyable and ho had found pleasure in assisting in its activities, Mr Wynyard said in reply.
