Believing that recording, investigational and instructional work is vitally necessary for the future development of die pig industry, the annual meeting of the New Zealand Fig Breeders' Association to-day passed a motion favouring a levy of 2d a pig on all pigs killed to enable this work to be done. Messrs. D. G. Morrison (North Auckland), R. C. Clark (Auckland), G. S. Ross (Bay of Plenty). J. A. Russell (Palmcrston North) and W. L. West (Havvkes Bay) were re-elected to the council. Mr. J. A. Russell was re-elected president and Messrs. R. C. Clark and F. Ogle ! Norrnanby) vice-presidents. I
